    Welcome to all,

I hope everyone is having a great September.  We wanted to update you on the successful Pope John and Shawe Community Festival that we just wrapped up here on campus.  We had beautiful weather, large crowds, reunions on campus, live music, lots of fun and we raised money for the schools all at the same time.

We want to thank all the people who helped make this happen and that is all the 400 plus volunteers, sponsors and of course Patti Grote, Development Director, and Kathy Chandler who has helped with the Festival for many years.  Our main sponsors who help bring the bands to town were our Platiunum sponsor Riverboat Inn and Suites (Please be sure to stay with them when you are in town for any reason), Gaylor and Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre.  We appreciate all that everyone does for our schools.

We were able to raise over $42,000 for our schools and have a great community event at the same time.  I want to thank everyone for all their help in selling raffle tickets, especially Mary Kay McCubbin.  The winners for the $10,000 were David Schafer, who is an alum and owns Home Ice, as well as a group of ladies led by Mary Ann Bennett who split the jackpot.  Thanks to all of you who purchased a $200.00 ticket and please know that it helped the school raise over $30,000 doallars. We had people purchase tickets from not only the Madison area, but supporters from all over the country.  We sold 200 tickets total which helped us raise the most money ever at the Festival on the 20th anniversary. 

We hope to see more and more people from the community, alumni from all over as well as any Prince of Peace supporters at next years festival, but please keep in mind the Auction is right around the corner, the last weekend of February.
