Snacks
Pope John Preschool feels that children learn about nutrition by being offered a diet of wholesome snacks. The daily snack at school can be a valuable learning experience, as well as, a time for socialization and relaxation. Too often we associate snacks with sweets. Please help us realign our thinking about snacks and food value. We, together, as parents and instructors, can teach children to enjoy nutritious snack items.
On your child's snack day, you will be asked to provide beverage, edible snack, and plates if needed. Please send more than you think you need so no one is ever left out. Your child's active participation is encouraged in the selection and preparation of their snack. The monthly calendar will let you know when you are responsible for bringing the snack. All snacks must be store bought, packaged, or bakery prepared.

Daycare children will need a sleeping bag, a small blanket and a little pillow. One soft stuffed animal or baby doll is allowed for nap time.

PLAY CLOTHES. . . We are an active program and request that children be dressed in comfortable, practical, and washable clothing. . . no clogs or flip flops, tennis shoes are always the best. Velcro shoes are always a good choice. No diapers or pull-ups. All students must be potty trained.
What NOT To Bring
No toys, candy, gum, money, trading cards, jewelry, chap stick, make-up, swords, or guns!!! Please have your child leave these things at home! There are plenty of age appropriate toys at school.
